Factor 8 Coaching

We often find ourselves in conversations with coaches, trainers and managers who wish they were more skilled and confident in their ability to coach individuals from backgrounds different to theirs. “Being able to authentically coach the whole person” is one way we have heard this need articulated.

Our response to this need has been to create the Factor 8 Different Leaders Certified Coaching Qualification, and to develop a series of workshop that focus specifically on diversity in the coaching space.

1. The Factor 8 DLAT Coach Certification – This is an ILM Endorsed certificate. The steps to certification include successful completion of the Factor 8 DLAT workshop, written assessment, practice coaching and supervised assessment. On becoming Factor 8 DLAT certified, you will be licensed to use the Factor 8 Different Leaders Assessment Tool as part of your coaching practice.

2. The Factor 8 DLAT Workshop – A one day workshop for coaches to acquire the knowledge, skills and experience of the use of the Factor8 Different Leaders Assessment Tool as a critical diagnostic in the development of leaders ability to leverage diversity as a strength, in a multicultural workplace or global marketplace. By the end of the workshop, participants will:

  • Be able to articulate the business case for leveraging Difference as a leadership strength
  • Have explored and understood the competencies required to be an effective diversity leadership coach.
  • Be able to provide feedback on the F8 DLAT Report using diversity leadership coaching skills.
  • Have explored different applications of the F8 DLAT to executive coaching, leadership and organisational development, diversity and inclusion, and talent management.
